Hey guys! Now that we’ve entered our new era 2023 we’ve gotta sum up some ideas/plans, and goals/resolutions. As well as entering with the same mindset or new mindset. For me I’ll be entering with a new mindset because I've realized my old one wasn’t as good for me and wasn't beneficial for me. So let's begin:
My Goals/Ideas/Plans/Resolutions for 2023:
So here's the thing, think to yourself about what you really truly wanna do. Whether it’s skiing, finding a new hobby, being more adventurous, jumping off a plane, who knows!? Some ideas I’ve thought of were:
1. Every month write a letter to myself
With this, I’ll be writing to myself how the month has gone. Whether I was sad, happy, neutral or whatever. I’d make a page or 2 just writing whatever occurred to me that month. As well, adding a goal and trying to accomplish it by next month. By December I’ll open them and see what I’ve gone through and see all the accomplishments that I’ve conquered/encountered. This doesn't have to be every month but, at least once every two months or three.
Or
½. Writing to my future self (open in 2025 or 26)
I think it’s gonna be fun talking to myself. Asking myself questions, and seeing where I am in that year. Seeing if there’s any difference, a special someone in my life, just so many questions that I would have for myself and hopefully will be answered in that year.
2. Learning how to cook more
Guys, for me I get easily lazy when it comes to food and when I get hungry I just grab a ramen packet, boil some water, crack an egg and boom. I do love to cook but I don't do it occasionally. However I would love to try it 2-3 times a week just to see some growth in my cooking skills. I wanna try new foods and different cooking methods.
3. Reading at least 35-50 books
Okay look this may look like a lot but it's not for me I promise LOL(well that’s what I’m telling myself). Since I read a lot of manhwas and books here and there. I think I'm capable of reaching this goal. But to be fairly honest, it really does depend on the genre of the book and for me I love- ADORE romance so if the book has something to do with romance… COUNT ME IN! Though, for this I’ve decided to try different genres as well. Such as, self-help, chick-lit, LBTQ, historical, feminism and a bit of philosophy (but I'm low-key not a big fan of philosophy. But, I wanna try).
4. Journaling at least 3-4 times a week
So, in the past I used to journal a lot, as in everyday. But, once high school started I wasn't as consistent as I was before. So, I’d like to try again and journal at least for 30 minutes a day. Talking about any topic. I just want to get back into writing habit.
5. Going for a new hobby
So for a new hobby I'm not particularly sure what I’d like to partake in, but I am willing to try crocheting and sewing. Because about 3-4 years ago I was shown how to sew and as well I did try it. But, I’m not gonna lie, I did forget how to do it but, I’m willing to try it again. But as for crocheting I think I’m gonna ask my aunt how to start off or just go on youtube and see how to do it. Finding a new hobby could be hard but, at least it’s some new and it may be fun! So I say go for it!
6. Finding a new study method
To be sincerely honest, I don’t have the best ways of studying and it’s coming to a point where I’m somewhat failing…BUT, not tremendously it’s not going fairly as well as I want it to go. I’m passing but not with the right grades. So, I’m looking into some ways in changing my methods as well going to professors for extra help and as well getting tutors for me to do better. Because I think I've noticed that I work and do better when others describe it to me. But, I also need to develop a way for myself because I cannot always depend on people. So, finding a new study method would really be helpful.
7. Learning about SELF-LOVE
I haven't taken the time until now to worry about me and my mental health. I’m always the person who worries about others rather than myself so it's important to focus on self-love and self-growth. Like I've mentioned before I discourage myself a lot and it isn’t a healthy thing and I know that I need to overcome it while it is a fear of mine. Self-love gives us an opportunity of confidence and a healthy dependency. As long as you're aware of yourself with love between yourself you’re on the right path. Doesn’t have to be perfect but, it should be acknowledged.
8. Finding my style
Okay this is my last one, and this is going to be the next topic that I’m going to discuss for my next blog. Finding my style has always been an ideal problem because I switch it up too often and I don’t like staying with one thing. I like to explore and I like being more open to new trends that I know or think I’d fit in. But, finding your style typically is up to you and it should be unique to you. Don't let anyone out shine you, because you never know if your style will become a trend.
So those are my “resolutions” that I have now. But knowing myself I know I’m going to add a bit more… But these are just some ideas. But, I also want to include that I do want to make a vision board of what I want or expect for the future? You know just something that I can look at and get inspired by it and continue to push for it. But, this is all for now! Thank you for tuning in my little stars, I’ll see you next time :)!
